A. Upgrade Summary

B. Upgrade Content

1. Update on activation/ re-activation of Mobile Token Service

To provide customers with secured and efficient Internet Banking Services, from the effective date, the operations for activating Mobile Token Service will have the following updates:

  • Customers holding a Hong Kong Identity Card, who wish to (a) activate the Mobile Token Service on a mobile device for the first time, or (b) re-activate the Mobile Token Service when switching to a new mobile device, will be required to conduct an e-ID verification during activation (i.e., photographing the identity card and taking a selfie);
  • Before re-activating the Mobile Token Service on a new mobile device, customers must disable the Mobile Token Service under "Personal Information and Security Settings" > "Mobile Security Setting" of Internet Banking or Mobile Banking App on the old device.

 

2. Added “Safe Deposit Box Appointment” function

To facilitate customers in making appointments to open a safe deposit box at our branches, a new “Safe Deposit Box Appointment” function has been added to Mobile Banking. Customers only require to fill in basic information, and the Bank will contact them by phone to confirm the reserved date and time.
