1. New “Customize Quick Links” settings
To meet customers’ daily usage needs, we have expanded the quick links area on the main page of Mobile Banking (Stylish version) to 2 pages with horizontal swipe design. Customers can easily customize 4 quick links to frequently used features, tailored to their needs for more convenient access to financial transactions.
2. Added shortcuts for transaction records
To facilitate customers to check transaction record when performing financial transactions, a shortcut has been added at the top right corner of input pages of the following functions. By clicking the shortcut, customers will be redirected to the relevant enquiry function without having to return to the main menu, enhancing both operational efficiency and user experience.
- “Fixed Deposit Placement” and “FCY Exchange Fixed Deposit Placement”: New shortcut for “Fixed Deposit Overview”;
- “Currency Exchange”: New shortcut for “Online Currency Exchange Record”
New “Payment Connect” is Launched
“Payment Connect” allows you to instantly transfer funds to Mainland recipient bank accounts (Northbound Transfer) anytime, anywhere via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking using either bank account number or mobile phone number, including both same name and non-same name accounts, without any handling fees. At the same time, customers can also receive RMB or HKD transfers from Mainland banks (Southbound Transfer), making cross-border transfers more convenient and faster!

1. Disable/Enable Online Registration of My Payee and/or Online Increase of Transaction Limit
To reduce the risk of customers being unknowingly intercepted by malware according to the HKMA’s requirements, the Bank introduces the function to disable/enable online registration of My Payee and/or online increase of the transaction limit.
Customers can disable the services through the below means:
- Mobile Banking: “My” > “Transfer Settings” > “Service Settings” or
- Internet Banking: “Settings” > “Transfer Settings” > “Service Settings”
After disabling the services, customers will no longer be able to (1) add/amend registered payees and/or (2) increase transaction limits via Internet Banking Services. However, they can still delete the registered payees or lower the transaction limits.
If customers would like to re-activate the online registration of My Payee and/or online increase of transaction limit thereafter, please ensure the mobile token service has been activated, and they can go to “My” > “Transfer Settings” > “Service Settings” of Mobile Banking Services to perform e-ID verification (take picture of HKID Card and selfie).
2. Extend Display Time of Scam Prevention Alert for Transfer Transactions
To allow customers to have sufficient time to review the scam prevention alert for transfer transactions, the display time of the suspicious transaction alerts of Internet Banking Services is extended to 10 seconds, customers can choose to quit or continue the instruction only after the countdown is completed.

1. New upgrade of account “Transaction Record” function
To help customers easily track their monthly financial status, a monthly summary of income and expenditure is provided under “Transaction Record” on Mobile Banking. This feature eliminates the hassle of manually compiling scattered transactions.
Additionally, income and expenditure records are displayed in different colours, making personal financial situation clear at a glance.
2. Added “Credit Card Services Change Instruction” and” Credit Card “Over-the-limit Facility” Service Update” functions
To provide you with more convenient Internet banking and mobile banking services, the new “Credit Card Services Change Instruction” and” “Credit Card Over-the-limit Facility Service Update” functions have been added.
Customers can use the “Credit Card Services Change Instruction” function to update their employment information, set up direct debit authorization (including cancelling and changing the payment amount), request a replacement card and obtain a re-issue Personal Identification Number (PIN).
3. Added “App Version Details” function
To facilitate customers in accessing the version information of the Mobile Banking App, customer can check below App details via “My” > “About Us” > “App Version Details” after updating the Mobile Banking App from the effective date:
- Current version of the App version
- Availability of the latest App version
- Service upgrade information and details of the latest App version
- If a newer version of the App is available, customer can immediately update it by accessing the App Store, Google Play, or by downloading the APK

To facilitate customer to perform online transactions, service hours of (1) Fixed Deposit, (2) Currency Exchange and (3) FCY Exchange Fixed Deposit on Internet Banking will be extended. Details are as follows:

2. Add “Feature Highlight” Page
To help customers better understand the Mobile Banking services, a new “Feature Highlight” option has been added under the “About Us” section in Mobile Banking. This provides a brief introduction to the latest and highlighted features and customer can easily navigate to the desired feature for using the services. We will continue to add more highlighted features in the future, and customer can explore all contents by clicking “Explore More” on the page.
3. Optimization of Credit Card Supplementary Card Services
To enhance the completeness of the “Credit Card Transaction Record” feature, the principal credit cardholder can now query the transaction records of their supplementary card(s) through Internet Banking Services.
Credit Card selection menu has been updated to include identifiers for both principal and supplementary cards. Additionally, name of the cardholder is added on the functionality page to help primary cardholders distinguish between cards.

1. Added Loan Transaction Record and Details
To facilitate checking loan status handy (including instalment loan, personal loan, tax loan and car loan), added Personal Loan "Transaction Record" under "My Loan(s)" for viewing the loan repayment records of the past year at a glance. And customers can also check the outstanding principal balance and next repayment amount under "Loan Details".
2. Support Re-registration of Invalid Payee and Merchant
Currently, if there was no transaction conducted for registered payees or merchants in“My Payee” and “My Merchant List” in the past 12 months, the relevant registration record(s) will become invalid. To improve customer experience, an option of “Re-register” has been added under “My Payee” and “My Merchant List”, allowing customer to re-register without having to input the registration information again.
3. Added “Joint” Account Label
To facilitate customer identification of joint named accounts, a “Joint” label has been added next to the deposit accounts on all service pages, eliminating the risk of selecting the incorrect account during transactions.

4. Added “e-Laisee”Function and Chinese New Year Theme
“e-Laisee” function will be launched in Mobile Banking Services in late January, allowing customer to send“e-Laisee”with customized amount, theme and blessings to friends and relatives anytime in any festival, and also save time on note exchange, convenient and eco-friendly. Please stay tuned for the website announcements regarding the function and promotional details, and experience our e-Laisee service.
Besides, as the Chinese New Year approaches, the icon and main page of Mobile Banking Services will be updated with the Chinese New Year theme, bringing a festival atmosphere and blessing to our customers.
