Please Activate Your New ATM Chip Cards / Chip Credit Cards Now
To comply with the requirements of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Bank will replace the magnetic stripe ATM cards with chip-based ATM cards for cardholders in phases by 31st March 2014. Your magnetic strip ATM card will become invalid with effect from 1st April 2014. Also, all ATMs (including Hong Kong and JETCO networks) will only accept the Chip Credit Cards with the enhanced security technology.
ATM Cards
Please use your new ATM chip card to perform ATM transaction within 30 days from the new card issue date, otherwise your new card will be suspended for use. If you have not received your new ATM chip card, please contact any of our Branches as soon as possible.
Credit Cards
Please call our 24-hour Activation Hotline at 3768 8899 to activate your new Credit Card(s) on or before 31st March 2014.
