Credit Risk Management Division
Vice President/ Assistant Vice President, Credit Approver Responsibilities: Exercise independent credit judgement to review, analyze and approve credit applications within the delegated approval authority, ensuring all applications are aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives Proactively identify, evaluate and escalate any material exceptions to the Bank’s credit policy, underwriting standards, and terms and conditions to safeguard the Bank’s interests Take ownership of assigned credit portfolio, conducting ongoing monitoring and reviews to ensure credit quality remains within the Bank’s risk appetite and policies Prepare comprehensive credit recommendations for applications requiring higher-level approval, facilitating decision making by senior management or credit committees Develop and maintain expertise in designated industries, providing regular updates and insights on market trends, emerging risks and opportunities Conduct client calls, factory visits and discussions with management to gain a thorough understanding of client operations and creditworthiness Perform other ad hoc projects or assignments Requirements: University graduate in Risk Management, Finance, Accountancy or related disciplines Holder of CCRP (CPM) under ECF on Credit Risk Management A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in credit approval, with focus on SME, commercial and corporate lending within banking or other financial institution Expertise in corporate banking products, financial statement analysis, accounting principles and end-to-end credit administration Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of loan structures, syndicated facilities, and different types of collateral and security arrangements Good understanding of key industry dynamics, macroeconomic factors, and their impact on credit risk Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, with the ability to communicate complex credit issues clearly and concisely Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Requirements:

University graduate in Risk Management, Finance, Accountancy or related disciplines
Holder of CCRP (CPM) under ECF on Credit Risk Management
