Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service

To reduce paper consumption and protect the environment, Chong Hing Bank (the “Bank”) is bringing you the convenience of paperless account statements. If you are our Internet Banking or Mobile Banking personal credit card customers and have registered a mobile phone number or valid email address with the Bank, you can view your credit card e-Statements1 via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking at anytime. 

 

Features of Personal e-Statement Service

 

Convenient and Free of Charge

  • You can retrieve and download your credit card e-Statements (the content of which is the same as the paper statements) up to 7 years2 via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking, anytime and anywhere.
  • As long as you are an eligible customer, the system will automatically generate a personal credit card statement for you each month and save it in Internet Banking and Mobile Banking, without the need for prior registration, completely free of charge.
  • If customers who choose personal credit card e-Statement and require paper statements, they can apply for it via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

 

Automatic Alert

An email or SMS notification will be sent to the registered email address or mobile phone number of personal credit card e-Statement customers when the latest e-Statement is available.

 

Note(s):

1Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service is applicable to Visa and Mastercard Credit Card Statement and UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card Statement.

2e-Statements will be available and stored from the month of using this service.

 

How to View or Download your Personal Credit Card e-Statements

 

A. Internet Banking

 

Accept the Terms and Conditions for Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service

** Customers must confirm the relevant terms and conditions before the first-time logon to view the credit card e-Statement.

Step 1: Select from the menu Account > Electronic Statement> Choose <Credit Card Statement> under “Type”.

Step 2: View Terms and Conditions for Credit Card e-Statement Service (For Personal Credit Card Customers).

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the Terms and Conditions, click the <Accept> button to confirm the relevant contents.

Step 4: The system will give priority to send a one-time SMS verification code based on the communication information (“Hong Kong mobile phone number” and “email address”) you have registered with the Bank’s credit card record; if you have not registered a Hong Kong mobile phone number, the system will send you a one-time email verification code.

Step 5: Enter your one-time verification code and click the <Confirm> button to complete the verification.

 

View Credit Card e-Statement

Step 1: Select from the menu Account > Electronic Statement> Choose <Credit Card Statement> under “Type”.

Step 2: Choose the corresponding credit card account.

Step 3: Select e-Statement enquiry date range; you can use the <Last Year> or <Month and Date> filters to narrow down your search results.

Step 4: Click the <Preview> button to view the credit card e-Statement PDF file.

 

Download Credit Card e-Statement

Step 1: Click the <Download> button to show a pop-up box.

Step 2: Click the <Confirm> button in the pop-up box to download the credit card e-statement PDF file to the computer storage device; if you want to cancel the download and keep the current page, click the <Cancel> button to close the pop-up box.

Step 3: The credit card e-Statement PDF file has been successfully downloaded to the computer storage device.

 

How to Apply for Credit Card Paper Statement

Step 1: Select from the menu Account> Electronic Statement> Click <Apply for Paper Statement> button.

Step 2: Choose <Credit Card Statement> under Type.

Step 3: Click <Enable> button and click <Confirm> button in the pop-up box, then click <Save Changes> button.

Step 4: Click <Confirm> button in the pop-up box and click <Confirm> button to confirm the change of paper statement status.

Step 5: The credit card paper statement has been applied successfully and will pop up with the confirmation page.

 

B. Mobile Banking

Step 2: View Terms and Conditions for Credit Card e-Statement Service (For Personal Credit Card Customers).

Step 1: Select e-Statement on the homepage

Step 3: Click <Enable> button and click <Confirm> button in the pop-up box, then click <Save Changes> button.

C. Frequently Asked Questions

 

Q1. Which types of customers can view their credit card e-Statements via Internet Banking and Mobile Banking?

A1. If you are personal credit card and our Internet Banking or Mobile Banking customers of the Bank, and have registered a Hong Kong mobile phone number or valid email address with the Bank, and have passed the one-time password verification, you are automatically subscribed for Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service, and you can view your credit card e-Statements via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking. An email or SMS notification will be sent to your registered email address or mobile phone number when your latest e-Statement is available, allowing you to immediately access your latest credit card e-Statement through Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

 

Q2. Is there any charge for Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service?

A2.  No, our Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service is free of charge. Paper Statement fee may be applied if you choose to receive paper statement, please refer to the Bank's announcement and refer to the Credit Card Charges Table for details..

 

Q3. Which types of credit card e-Statements are available?

A3. Currently, all personal credit card e-Statements are available: (1) Visa and Mastercard Credit Card Statement and (2) UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card Statement.

 

Q4. I have registered for Internet Banking and Mobile Banking Service and there are transaction records in my credit card account. Why can’t I view my credit card e-Statement via my Internet Banking or Mobile Banking?

A4. The reason may be that you have not registered a valid email address or Hong Kong mobile phone number with the Bank’s credit card system. Please visit any branch of the Bank to update your email address and Hong Kong mobile phone number.  Please complete the "Change of Contact Information Form" to update email address and Hong Kong mobile phone number and submit it to our bank. The instruction will take effect after 5 working days.

 

Q5. How many months of the credit card e-Statements I can view via Internet Banking and Mobile Banking? 

A5. From the effective date of your Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service, you could view your credit card e-Statements up to 7 years via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking. If a credit card account is closed at the request of the customer or the Bank, the final statement of the account will be issued via paper statement only and mailed to you at your correspondence address according to the Bank’s record.

 

Q6. Will I still receive paper statements after registering for the Personal Credit Card e-Statement Service? 

A6.  Both credit card e-Statement and paper statement will be provided. Starting from 1 August, 2025, we will automatically set your credit card account that have (i) successfully registered for Chong Hing Internet Banking or Mobile Banking Services; and (ii) successfully used the e-Statement service, to only receive e-Statement. Paper statement will no longer be mailed. An email and SMS notification will be sent to your registered email address or mobile phone number when your latest credit card e-Statement is available. If personal credit card e-Statement customers need paper statement, they can apply for it through Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.
