Authentication Controls via Mobile Phones


To better protect your online transaction(s) with Chong Hing Credit Card, Chong Hing Bank (”the Bank”) will launch the “Authentication Controls on Online Credit Card Transactions Service” on 27 June, 2016 and such service will be supported by cardholder’s current mobile phone record with us. An SMS-based “One Time Password” will be sent on each online transaction to the cardholder’s mobile phone record with the Bank for authentication control, in order to make online shopping more convenient and secure.


Any cardholders who would like to register your mobile phone number or update your current mobile phone number record with the Bank, please download “Credit Card Services Change Instruction(s) Form” or fill in the section of “Change of Contact Information” at the back of your credit card monthly statement, sign and return to Credit Card Centre for further processing. Remark:

1.   Transactions are only applicable to merchants with “Verified by Visa” and / or “MasterCard SecureCode”.
2.   Online transactions are only applicable to Chong Hing Credit Cards registered with the internet transaction function.
3.   For any online transactions made by supplementary cardholder, the “One Time Password” will be sent to the principal cardholder’s mobile phone number via SMS for authentication control.
