1.  What are the services provided by Internet Banking / Mobile Banking?
   
  A:  Internet Banking / Mobile Banking provides you with various investment services, including:

  • Fund Subscription - Over 250 funds for subscription
  • Fund Switching - Switch out from and switch into funds
  • Fund Redemption - Redeem available units in the selected Investment Fund Account
  • Transaction & Order Enquiry - View transactions made in up to the past 90 days



2.  How can I use Online Investment Funds Services?
   
  A:  All Chong Hing Bank customers with below services activated can use the Online Fund Subscription Service via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.
   
 
  • Investment Account with Investment Profile Questionnaire completed
  • Internet Banking and two factor authentication service
  • Email Address added to receive transaction notice
   
  After successful logon to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking, please select "Investment"  "Fund" from the main menu.



3.  Why I need to use two factor authentication services for Online Investment Funds Services?
   
  A:  Based on compliance and security reasons, you have to use two factor authentication services for Online Investment Funds Services. You can fill in "Chong Hing Internet Banking Services - Activate/ Update/ Deactivate Two-factor Authentication Service and Receive SMS-Based One-Time Password" and return it to our branches or click here to submit application for registering mobile phone number for Mobile SMS Service of two-factor authentication.



4. What is the service hour of Online Investment Services?

Instruction submitted before the cut-off time will be executed on the same dealing day; Instruction submitted after the cut-off time and on Saturdays will be executed on the next dealing day. Please refer to the prospectus for details of dealing day of specific fund.



5.  How does a product risk rating assign to each investment funds?
   
  A:  The Bank adopts a scoring mechanism to assign product risk ratings to all investment funds on a scale from Level 1 (Low Risk) to Level 5 (High Risk) based on various factors, e.g asset allocation, market diversification, fund price volatility, investment style, high yield exposure,use of derivative, political uncertainty, etc. Please refer to "Product Risk Rating and Customer Risk Profile" for more details.



 

Investment Account Opening

 

1.  Can I open an investment account via Mobile Banking?
   
  A:  To open an investment account using Mobile Banking, the following conditions must be met:
A) Individual customer (except for joint account holder);
B) Aged 18 or above;
C) No investment account with the bank;
D) Non-U.S. / Canadian Person or Resident;
E) Not currently employed by an organisation registered with or licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong;
F)
(a) Registered mobile phone number for Two-factor Authentication (2FA) , or
(b) Registered HK mobile phone number as the bank’s correspondence contact number during savings / current account opening at branch.

Other customers please visit any Chong Hing Bank branch to open an account.



2.  What should I prepare for Investment Account Opening?
   
  A:  You should get ready the residential address proof, such as bank statement, water / electricity bill, etc. issued in the past 3 months for uploading via mobile phone during account opening.



3.  How do I know if the investment account is successfully opened?
   
  A:  You will receive a notification SMS upon successful investment account opening.



4.  I received an SMS of successful investment account opening but still cannot find the investment account in my Mobile Banking. Why?
   
  A:  After successful account opening, customer can logon to Internet Banking and link up the investment account with internet banking in “My settings” > “Add / Delete Account”.



5.  Can I amend my application instruction?
   
  A:  Once the instruction is submitted, you cannot amend the instruction. Please verify the instruction details carefully before confirming the instruction. If you have any queries, please call our Customer Services Hotline at (852) 3768 6888.



 

My Portfolio / Transaction & Order Enquiry

 

1.  How can I view my current fund holdings?
   
  A:  After successful logon to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking, you can select "Investment" "Fund" "My Portfolio" to view the details of your fund holdings.



2.  I have submitted a fund subscription instruction. Why isn't the instruction shown in "My Portfolio" section?
   
  A:  For fund subscriptions, it normally takes a few working days to have the unit holding reflected in your account. For fund redemptions, it normally takes at least a week to deposit the redemption proceeds into your account. The actual time required for completing the subscription and redemption processes varies from fund to fund. If the instruction has not yet been processed, please check if it appears under "Pending" section under "Investment" "Transaction & Order Enquiry". If the instruction is not found, please call our Customer Services Hotline at (852) 3768 6888 for enquiry.



3.  How can I view my transaction history?
   
  A:  After successful logon to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking, you can select "Investment"   "Transaction & Order Enquiry" to view the details of your transaction history.



4.  How far back can I view the transactions?
   
  A:  Transactions made in up to the past 90 days are shown in "Transaction & Order Enquiry" section.



5.  Is the “Fund Price” displayed in My Portfolio be the executed price for a transaction?
   
  A:  The fund price information provided in our i-banking or mobile banking is for reference only. They do not represent the price at which any transaction can be traded. Generally, most funds available in our Bank's trading platform (excluding Exchange Traded Fund) are traded on a "forward" pricing basis, investment funds dealing will be based on the fund's net asset value (NAV), calculated when the market closes on that dealing day. That executed price will usually be provided in the next business day of the trading day. The executed price and details are subject to the confirmation provided by the fund house to the Bank.



 

Fund Subscription / Switching / Redemption

 

1.  How can I place fund subscription instructions?
   
  A:  After successful logon to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking, you can place subscription order in "Investment" "Fund"  "Fund Subscription" with a valid IPQ



2.  Can I amend or cancel a fund transaction instruction?
   
  A:  Once the instruction is confirmed and processed, you cannot amend or cancel any submitted instruction. Please verify the instruction details carefully before confirming the instruction. If you have any queries, please call our Customer Services Hotline at (852) 3768 6888 for enquiry.



3.  Can I switch / redeem fund at Internet Banking or Mobile Banking?
   
  A:  Yes. Customer can select to switch or redeem specific fund under "My Portfolio".



4.  What is the minimum investment amount for Internet Banking or Mobile Banking?
   
  A:  The minimum investment amount for Internet Banking or Mobile Banking is HKD100 (Accumulation share class); HKD500 (Distribution share class) or its equivalent. Only individual funds remain at HKD20,000 or equivalent.



5.  Can I subscribe fund via the "Fund Search" service of the Bank’s website?
   
  A:  Yes. You can select "Subscribe" after performing fund search at "Fund Search" service of the Bank’s website. The Internet Banking logon page will be prompted up, and customer can complete the fund subscription instantly after input of username and password of Internet Banking with successful logon.



6.  Why are there funds that cannot be subscribed online?
   
  A:  Some funds may not be subscribed online because of limited subscription quotas or other relevant reasons. If you want to subscribe the funds that cannot be subscribed online, please visit any Chong Hing Bank branches.



7.  What is the meaning of ( F / P / K / A / I ) under Offering Documents of "Fund Subscription"?
   
 

A: 

  1. "F" represents Factsheet
  2. "P" represents Prospectus
  3. "K" represents Key Fact Statement
  4. "A" represents Annual Report
  5. "I" represents Interim Report



8.  When will fund transaction instructions be processed if Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is in force?
   
  A:  If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm warning is hoisted, the transaction will be processed on the next working day.



9.  I only have HKD in my settlement account. Can I subscribe funds denominated in other currencies?
   
  A:  No. For subscription instructions, the fund currency must be same as the settlement currency. For example, if you subscribe a fund whose fund currency is HKD, you must have enough HKD in your settlement account. If you do not have sufficient currency for fund subscription, you may conduct foreign exchange via our Internet Banking or Mobile Banking to obtain the required currency.
    You can only perform Foreign Currency Exchange transactions from 08:30 to 18:00 (Mondays to Fridays) and from 08:30 to 13:00 (Saturdays), excluding Sundays and Public holidays. Please note that the T.T. rates quoted in "Rate Information" are for reference only. You will be notified of the actual T.T. rate prior to your final confirmation of the transaction.



 

Settlement

 

1.  When do I need to settle the amount for subscription?
   
  A:  Under normal circumstances, we will deduct the subscription amount from your selected settlement account within the same working day when we process your order. Therefore, please ensure that you have sufficient balance in your account for settlement.
