About Chong Hing Bank Mobile App and Mobile Banking Services

1. Who can access Chong Hing Bank Mobile App?
A:
No matter whether you are an existing Chong Hing Bank customer or not, You can manage your finances and get Chong Hing Bank’s latest financial information anytime and anywhere with the Mobile App. No extra registration is required.
2. Who can use Chong Hing Bank Mobile Banking Services?
A:
  • Internet Banking Services Single Authority Customers (Personal or Corporate) can login Internet Banking and set up the Mobile Banking Services login name and password. Upon successful activation, the bank will send a letter as acknowledgement.
  • If you have not yet registered as Internet Banking Services Single Authority Customers (Personal or Corporate), please visit any of our branches for application. Personal account customer with valid "Chong Hing Card" or "UnionPay Chong Hing Card", simply click "Activation via ATM Card" on Chong Hing Internet Banking Services logon page and you will be guided through the activation process. Your account number, ATM PIN and HKID Card / Passport number are required for the activation.
  • You can login Mobile Banking Services by using the recommended iOS or Android device and tablet.
3. What mobile devices does Chong Hing Bank Mobile Banking / Mobile App support?
A:
Chong Hing Bank Mobile Banking / Mobile App supports the following mobile operating systems and models :

5. Is there any service charge for using Chong Hing Bank Mobile Banking Services and/or Mobile App?
A:
Chong Hing Bank Mobile Banking Services and/or Mobile App are free of charge. However, charges may apply to selected services such as securities trading. Besides, you may also incur charges for your mobile internet connection provided by your telecommunications service provider. Please check with your telecommunications service provider for details.
6. How can I set up the account and bill payment merchant for Mobile Banking Services?
A:
Those registered accounts in Internet Banking (including self name accounts, registered third party accounts of the bank and other bank) and pre-registering the bills will be set up on the Mobile Banking automatically.
7. Using Mobile Banking Services, any terms and conditions must be accepted?
A:
Yes. Customer must accept service terms and conditions in order to access the Mobile Banking Services. If customer does not accept the service terms and conditions, they will not able to use Mobile Banking Services.
8. What is Mobile Banking Services?
A:
Mobile Banking Services cover an extensive range of banking services to meet your banking needs, excluded the high risk transaction services^. The easy and user-friendly interface helps to manage your finance conveniently.
  • Account Balance Enquiry
    • Enquire the latest account balance; and
    • Enquiry up to 90 days' transaction history
  • Fund Transfer
    • Transfer fund to self name or registered* third party account in HKD within Chong Hing Bank ; and
    • Transfer fund to any registered* self name account in other bank or third party account via "Electronic Clearing Service" or "Clearing House Automated Transfer System" ("CHATS"); and
    • Foreign Currency Exchange.
  • Bill Payment
    • Pay registered* bills
  • Fixed Deposit
    • Place or renew Fixed Deposit, view account balance and change maturity instruction.
  • Interest / Exchange Rate Enquiry
    • Enquiry of deposits interest and foreign exchange rates
  • Change Password
    • Login to the Mobile Banking Services, change password directly with the mobile devices.

Remarks: ^ Service scope does not included high risk transaction (e.g. fund transfer to unregistered third party account and pay unregistered bill). * Registered accounts and bills in Internet Banking Services will be automatically registered in Mobile Banking Services.
9. Do I need to use any particular telecommunications services providers?
A:
Our Mobile Banking is available to all telecommunications service providers. Once your mobile device is connected to Internet, you can access Mobile Banking Services. However, you are advised to study the data roaming charges imposed by the service providers.
10. Can I access Mobile Banking Services overseas?
A:
Yes. You can access it from anywhere in the world via the Internet, and install the latest Mobile App to enjoy Mobile Banking Services. However, you are advised to study the data roaming charges imposed by the service providers.
11. What do I need to install on my mobile device in order to use the Mobile Banking Services?
A:
You must install the latest design Chong Hing Bank Mobile App to enjoy Mobile Banking Services.
12. If I forget the Mobile Banking Logon ID or password, what can I do?
A:
If you have forgotten your Mobile Banking Logon ID, you can login to Internet Banking to enquire your registered Mobile Banking Logon ID.
If you have forgotten your Mobile Banking Password, you can login to Internet Banking to reset password.
13. What should I avoid when using Mobile Banking?
A:
  • Avoid signing on Mobile Banking Services via public Wi-Fi (wireless network) and Wi-Fi without encryption.
  • When using Mobile Banking Services in public area, passwords should be protected carefully. Because it may take some times to change the password into asterisk format.
14. If there is an incoming call, will the Mobile Banking session automatically logout?
A:
It depends on the mobile handset model you use. You may go back to the Mobile App and check if the webpage is still valid. Please note that our system will automatically terminated your Mobile Banking Session after idling for around 15 minutes.
15. Do I need to close the Mobile App after logging out Mobile Banking?
A:
After logging out Mobile Banking Services, you are advised to close the Mobile App at the same time.
16. If the Chong Hing Bank Mobile App cannot be opened, what should I do?
A:
If you cannot open the Chong Hing Bank Mobile App,
  1. Please restart your mobile device.
  2. If the problem persists, please remove the Chong Hing Bank Mobile App installed in your mobile device, then download and install the application again.
