Applying for Chong Hing Bank Internet Banking Services

1. How do I apply?
A:

You can complete the "Internet Banking Application Form" and submit it in person to any of our branches.

For Company Account, the "Internet Banking Application Form" should be signed with authorized signature(s) and submitted by one of the authorized signatory(s).

For Joint Account, all primary account holders should sign the application form and the signature must be in conformity with the specimen signature of the primary account.

2. What is the difference between "Single Authority" and "Joint Authorities"?
A:

The major difference between the two is that "Joint Authorities" requires multiple authorizations to complete a designated transaction. Company / Both-to-sign Joint Account holder can pre-define the number of approvals required for the transaction on each account. Each user of the same group has a unique Customer Reference Number and password. The access right to each transaction account by each user can also be pre-defined.

3. Can I subscribe to "Joint Authorities" if I am an existing "Single Authority" user?
A:

No. Each Company customer or Joint Account user group may subscribe to either "Single Authority" or "Joint Authorities", but not both at the same time. Please cancel the existing "Single Authority" service before applying "Joint Authority" service.

4. Why do I need to register my bank accounts to it?
A:

For "Single Authority", you may designate a maximum of 10 accounts in your Internet Banking Services profile. These may include HKD or Foreign Currency Savings Deposit, Fixed Deposit, Current, Credit Card and Bills accounts. For "Joint Authority", you may designate a maximum of 60 accounts.

To amend your list of designated account(s), please complete the "Internet Banking Services Change Instruction(s) Form" and submit it in person to any of our branches.

Chong Hing Internet Banking Services Online Activation

1. How to use "Chong Hing Internet Banking Services Online Activation"?
A:

Personal account customer with valid “UnionPay Chong Hing Card”, simply click "Activation via ATM Card" on Chong Hing Internet Banking Services logon page and you will be guided through the activation process. Your account number, ATM PIN and Identification Document No are required for the activation.

2. How long does it take to go through the activation process?
A:

The activation process requires only a few simple steps after selecting your card type:
Step 1 - Enter your account information
Step 2 - Create your Logon Name
Step 3 - Accept terms and conditions

3. What can I do if I forget / lose my ATM PIN?
A:

Please visit any of our branches in person to re-issue ATM PIN. The new password will be sent to your correspondence address within 4 working days.

4. Can I change my Logon Name and password?
A:

The Logon Name cannot be changed after activation. However, you may change your password by selecting "Change Password" under "My Settings" Section.

Add / Delete Account

1. How to use "Add / Delete Account" on Internet Banking?
A:

Single Authority customer can manage administer his/her account(s) under the same signing authority, including HKD or Foreign Currency Savings Deposit account, Fixed Deposit account, Multi-Currency Savings account, Current account, Credit Card account and Investment account, as shown on Internet Banking and Mobile Banking by choosing "Add / Delete Account" under “My Setting” on Internet Banking. The account holder’s name and HKID number of the accounts should be the same as the account you used for Internet Banking registration.

2. If I delete the display of one of my accounts on Internet Banking, can that account be added again?
A:

Yes, your designated account(s) under the same signing authority can be added back anytime on Internet Banking. These may include HKD or Foreign Currency Savings Deposit, Fixed Deposit, Multi-Currency Savings, Current and Credit Card account, but it does not applicable to Designated Primary Account and registered third party account.

3. Can I delete the display of registered Third Party Account from Internet banking?
A:

No. “Add / Delete Account” is not applicable to Designated Primary Account and registered third party account. If you would like to update the display of registered Third Party Account, please complete the “Chong Hing Internet Banking Services – Third Party Account(s) / Bill / Beneficiary for Telegraphic Transfer Registration / Deletion” Form and submit it in person to any of our branches.

4. Are there any maximum limit for number of accounts to be displayed on Internet Banking Account Overview?
A:

The maximum number of your accounts under the same signing authority to be displayed is 20, which includes HKD or Foreign Currency Savings Deposit, Fixed Deposit, Multi-Currency Savings, Credit Card and Current account. For Investment Account, there is no such limit.

Transaction Limit Setting
1. What is "Transaction Limit Setting" ?
A:

Single Authority's customer can decrease the Maximum Aggregated Daily Transfer Limits by choosing "Transaction Limit Setting" under "My Settings" on Internet Banking.

2. Can I set higher daily transaction limit from Internet banking?
A:

No. Setting higher daily transaction limit is only available at branch, please complete the "Chong Hing Internet Banking Services – To update Transaction Limit Setting for Online Fund Transfer, Telegraphic Transfer and Bill Payment (Single Logon Mode)" Form and submit it in person to any of our branches.
