FPS Service

The Bank provides services to customers to facilitate payments and fund transfers using the Faster Payment System operated by Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited.

Internet Banking Customers (includes Single Authority Personal and Corporate Customers and Joint Authorities Customers) can select "Faster Payment System Service" to perform payments and fund transfers at Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

The Bank provides services to customers to facilitate payments and fund transfers using the Faster Payment System operated by Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited.


Internet Banking Customers (includes Single Authority Personal and Corporate Customers and Joint Authorities Customers) can select "Faster Payment System Service" to perform payments and fund transfers at Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.


If you have not yet registered Internet Banking, please visit any of our branches for application. Personal account customer with valid "Chong Hing Card" or "UnionPay Chong Hing Card", simply click "Activation via ATM Card" on Chong Hing Internet Banking Services logon page and will be guided through the activation process. Your account number, ATM PIN and HKID Card / Passport number are required for the activation.

The scope of this scam prevention alert mechanism in the first stage covers FPS proxy IDs. The scope will be reviewed from time to time.

You can check Scameter (cyberdefender.hk) to see if it is flagged as “High Risk”. When performing an FPS transaction with use of FPS proxy ID (i.e. mobile number, email address, or FPS Identifier) via internet banking or mobile banking app, the Bank will display a scam prevention alert message for those FPS proxy IDs flagged in the scam reports provided by the Hong Kong Police Force. You are advised not to make any transactions to the recipient unless you have carefully verified the recipient’s identity and ensure that the recipient is trustworthy.

If you suspect you have been scammed, you may visit a police station or the Hong Kong Police Force e-Report Centre (https://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en or https://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_tc) to file a report. In tandem, please report the case to the Bank.

Yes, you can, but please be reminded that the transaction has high risk of fraud. You are advised to always verify the payment details (including the recipient’s identity) of every single transaction before making payment.


Fund Transfer Service

Through Mobile Banking, you can arrange fund transfer to unregistered accounts of other local banks. (Two-factor authentication is not required). Please note that the above service is limited to fund transfer in same currency of HKD or RMB between different bank accounts.


Through Internet Banking, you can arrange fund transfer to register accounts or unregistered accounts (Two-factor authentication is required) of other local banks. Please note that the above service is limited to fund transfer in same currency of HKD or RMB between different bank accounts.

You can transfer fund by means of receiver's Hong Kong mobile phone number, email address, FPS Identifier, any local bank account number or credit card number.

When your transaction is accepted and processed by the Bank, fund will be directly deposited into the designated bank account of the receiver for this transaction.

Any instruction once accepted and processed by the Bank shall not be cancelled, amended, supplemented or revoked by the customer.

This service is free of charge.

The Bank’s daily maximum Small Value Fund Transfer Limit is HKD10,000 in total. The Small Value Fund Transfer Limit is applicable to all kinds of small value fund transfer from the Applicant’s bank account to unregistered receiver(s)

Yes, you can click “Download” button in "Transaction Enquiry" page under "FPS(NEW!)" to download and save FPS Outward Payment and Inward Payment transaction history (the function is only available on Internet Banking).

Most of the receiving banks/institutions will conduct name checking according to their relevant procedures, and the payment instruction may eventually be rejected because the name of the beneficiary does not match the bank’s/institution's records. Please verify carefully the beneficiary's name, account number and other payment details.


Electronic Direct Debit Authorization (eDDA) Service

You have to provide or input the necessary information and complete the process via the merchant or stored value facilities service providers in advance.

Upon receipt the request from service providers, the Bank will send a SMS or email notification to you. You can confirm such request by using two-factor authentication via logon to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

You can confirm such request via Internet Banking and Mobile Banking within 5 working days. The request will be suspended if no response is received over 5 working days. You have to submit the request again at the merchant or stored value facilities service providers.

Some merchants or stored value facilities service providers may not require their customers to confirm the eDDA request via the Bank. Please enquire the merchants or stored value facilities service provider whether confirmation from the Bank is required.


Addressing Service

You can logon to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking to bind your mobile number to your account or credit card of the Bank. After completion of registration, you can use your mobile phone number for fund receiving purpose.

Each customer can register one mobile phone number and one email address as Proxy ID. Each Proxy ID can bind one HKD account or / and one RMB account. Different Proxy IDs can only bind with the same HKD or RMB account(s). Please note that when you amend the bound HKD account of /and RMB account, the same will also be applied to all your Proxy ID(s) binding account(s).

You can logon to Internet Banking to bind your Hong Kong Identity Card number to your account of the Bank (one HKD account or one RMB account). After completion of registration, you can use your Hong Kong Identity Card number for fund receiving purpose. If you want to provide your Hong Kong ID card number for receiving fund, you must be careful and provide the information to a trusted person to avoid criminals looking for opportunities to capture your personal information.


QR Code Payment

It is another transfer means provided by “FPS” service. By opening FPS QR code scanner from Mobile Banking logon page, you can scan the payee’s QR code directly or select a QR code from photo album of your device to scan and pay.

Only applicable to Mobile Banking Users with registered Mobile Token / Touch ID / PIN.

Yes, it is safe. Mobile Token / Touch ID / PIN authentication is required for payer to complete transaction.

You can view the payee’s mobile number, email address, partial payee name and transfer amount (if payee has set transfer amount) after scanning the QR code from payee

Payment will be debited from your designated Chong Hing Bank account. When your transaction is accepted and processed by the Bank, fund will be directly deposited into the designated bank account of the payee for this transaction.

It is another transfer means provided by “FPS” service. By generating a QR code, you can request payer to scan and pay to your Chong Hing Bank account.

User is required to register mobile number or email address at the Chong Hing Bank FPS Service before receiving funds by QR code.

Yes, it is safe. Embedded in the QR code generated by you is the information you inputted, such as mobile number, email address and amount (if applicable). No other information on your bank account will be embedded. The bank will not store your inputted mobile number or email address.

Online merchant payment function supported by “Chong Hing Mobile Banking”

This is another payment method provided by the “Faster Payment System”. Customers can make payment to the Bank's “Chong Hing Mobile Banking” through the link provided by the online merchant or the app provided by the merchant.

Only applicable to customers who have registered fingerprint/face recognition logon service of “Chong Hing Mobile Banking” and/or mobile security authentication service.

Yes. Customers can activate the small value transfer service directly in “Chong Hing Mobile Banking” when making the first online payment.

Any merchant that provides this Open API online payment function can support it, and the Bank’s “Chong Hing Mobile Banking” will be displayed as the payment option during payment.

Yes, it is safe. Customers need to confirm the receiving merchant and the amount before payment, and must go through the mobile security authentication/fingerprint/PIN authentication before completing a payment.

The transaction limit of “Chong Hing Mobile Banking” online payment is the Bank’s Small Value Fund Transfer Limit, and the maximum daily accumulated limit is HKD10,000 in total. The Small Value Fund Transfer Limit is applicable to all kinds of small value fund transfer from the Applicant’s bank account to the unregistered receiver(s).

Any instructions once accepted and processed by the Bank shall not be cancelled, amended, supplemented or revoked by the customer.
